About Us The Company Art of Buying is a fully licensed property buyers' agency which was formed in response to the need for guidance and protection for the property buyer in the process of purchasing arguably their most valuable asset. Art of Buying represents the best interests of the property buyer only. Traditionally, the property buyer dealt directly with the real estate agent selling the property. However, real estate agents have a legal duty to represent the seller's best interests which effectively means getting the buyer to pay the highest price possible. Art of Buying seeks to redress the imbalance by using our resources, networks, experience and expertise to achieve the best possible outcome for the buyer - the best property at the lowest price with the least stress. We are approachable and friendly yet totally dedicated and professional in our work for our clients. Art of Buying is based in the inner Sydney suburb of Balmain East (a virtual stone's throw from the Harbour Bridge) and has easy access to the inner city, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, and North Shore, though we are not limited to these suburbs in our ability to search and find suitable property for our clients. In fact, recent property searches have been in the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and South Sydney. Irene is a Licensed Buyers' Agent and Auctioneer, trained by the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW). Irene has travelled and worked around the world and is now happily settled in the beautiful city of Sydney. Irene also has a BSc (Hons) and Masters degree in Mathematics, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics. She combines an analytical approach with her natural empathy for her clients for the best results. Irene has had a lifelong interest in real estate and has bought and sold properties in England, Wales, New Zealand and Australia. She is very familiar with all the issues and difficulties of family relocation and buying property in a new country. Irene has worked in real estate in the Inner West of Sydney and recognised a real need for buyers' agents - sometimes called buyers' advocates, to represent the sole interests of property buyers. Formerly a business consultant, researcher and lecturer in Statistics and Econometrics, Irene uses her advanced analytical skills in her search for suitable properties for her clients. Irene is delighted and honoured to have been selected as a finalist in the REINSW Awards for Excellence 2008, as a buyers' agent.
